From local and national cycle races to golf competitions and national basketball tournaments, Luxeuil-les-Bains and the Southern Vosges regularly play host to some great sporting events!

Grand Huit - Luxeuil Vosges du Sud
Formerly known as the Grand Huit Vosgien, this cyclosportive race is held every year in June and organised by the Froideconche cycloclub. The race comprises 3 circuits of varying difficulty, taking in the beautiful scenery of the southern Vosges and some of the highest peaks in the département.
The start and finish are in Luxeuil-les-Bains, so there's plenty of opportunity to visit the town on this festive day!

Tour de France
Every year in July, the world's biggest cycling event thrills cycling fans! Regularly, the men's and women's Tour passes by the summits of the Southern Vosges, in particular the Planche des Belles Filles and its famous slope of between 8% and 24% in its long version.
To mark the occasion, the villagers decorate their streets and gardens, and the passage of the caravan is eagerly awaited!

3 ballons race
In spring, the 3 Ballons race offers a challenge for experienced cyclosportifs: 2 events (granfondo 178km and mediofondo 93km) starting in Ronchamp and passing the highest peaks in the Vosges, before arriving at the Planche des Belles filles.
The race attracts around 3,000 runners every year!

Alsace Tour
The Tour Alsace is 5 days of competition between the best international teams across the plains and hills of Alsace! It's a popular sporting event, and the people who live in the stage villages come alive to celebrate the occasion!
The Tour Alsace regularly passes through the southern Vosges, notably at La Planche des Belles Filles.

The Lux Trophy tournament - Basketball meetings in Luxeuil
Every year, AL Luxeuil basketball puts on a great show for basketball fans in the spa town and the surrounding area. Every year in September, the Lux Trophy brings together some of the finest national Pro-A teams. For a whole week, training sessions, matches and encounters follow one another to the delight of young and old alike!
Sports Fair
In September, the Luxeuil-les-Bains town council organises the Fête du sport in collaboration with local and neighbouring sports associations. The aim? So that everyone can find out about the range of sports on offer in the area, try out the activities and find the one that suits them best!
It's a great way to spend some quality time with the family and try your hand at a range of sports, from the more traditional to the more unusual!

Golf Week
In July, the Luxeuil-Bellevue golf course prepares for its biggest event of the year: La Grande Semaine, 8 days of competition on the Vosges du Sud green. Nearly 1,000 competitors from France and neighbouring countries are expected to take part in the week of tournaments!
