This short tour, to be done with the family, will allow you to stop at the Ecomuseum of the Cherry Country. In a setting of cherry trees, the ecomuseum, the starting point of the Route des Chalots, invites you to discover a passion that has become an economy: the making of kirsch. Between tradition and modernity, come and see, hear and smell the history of fougerollaise cherry water.
The tour starts at the Tourist Office in the centre of Fougerolles. Take the Grande Rue, then turn right into the Rue Querney. Take the D57D on your right, then turn left into Rue du Clos.
Further up, turn right onto a rural road. Take the pedestrian tunnel which passes under the RN57 and turn right across the fields. Continue along the RN57 until you reach a tarmac road which you follow on your left.
After 250 m, you can stop at the Écomusée du pays de la Cerise. Cross the hamlet of Petit Fahys and before arriving in Prédurupt at the intersection with the road leading to Le Pichtre, turn left onto a dirt track to emerge opposite the Chapelle du Prédurupt.
Go back down to the left on the road for 700 m. After the bridge over the RN57, turn right onto a dirt track.
Go down the rue des Calouettes and turn left before the factory. Join the Avenue des Chavannes and then turn right at the crossroads to reach the Tourist Office via the Grande Rue.
