Le Sentier du Patrimoine

In front of the Tourist Office, listen to the section on the Ecclesia, Cité Patrimoine. Walk around the building to reach the Bailli's house. Walk down the square towards the Basilique Saint-Pierre and the statue of Saint-Colomban. Enter the basilica to admire the organ and its case, the nave, the chapels and the stained glass windows. Cross the Place Saint-Pierre and, at the crossroads opposite, admire the Maison François 1er . Turn left to reach the Place de l'Abbaye. On your left is the Luxeuil-les-Bains Lace Conservatory. Walk through the cloister and join the rue Victor Genoux, which you will find on your left. You will pass Saint-Colomban Abbey. You can enter the main courtyard if the main door is open. Go around the Abbey to join Rue des Lavoirs. At the junction with rue Henry Guy, cross the road to reach a path that runs alongside the Morbief canal and the camper van park and takes you to the Etang de la Poche. Go around the pond to the left and continue until you reach rue Saint-Colomban. Cross the road and continue along rue Saint-Anne towards the cemetery. After the bend in the road, the Gallo-Roman potter's kilns are on your right. Go around the cemetery and continue along rue Saint-Anne until you reach rue Carnot. Turn right and then immediately left towards the spa. Continue for 50 m along Avenue des Thermes. Then retrace your steps to rejoin Rue Carnot. Go straight ahead and admire the Tour des Echevins on your left and the Maison du Cardinal Jouffroy on your right.
