ARCHAEOLOGY VILLAGE
From the very young to the very old, take part in the various workshops on offer in this archaeological village and discover the Roman legionnaires and their camp.
Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm
Potters' kiln site.
Free admission.
Roman camp:
Over the weekend, the Herculiani Rhenani collective takes you back in time to the heart of a Roman military camp. Come and meet the legionnaires and find out about their daily lives, their weaponry and war manoeuvres.
Highlights :
-Become a legionnaire! (11am and 4pm)
Volunteers will be given an introduction to the collective manoeuvres of the Roman army.
-Manoeuvre demonstration (2.30pm)
Soldiers give a demonstration of the Roman legion and its weaponry.
-Excavation bin workshop
-Equipped with the tools of the archaeologist, the little apprentices carry out an excavation and draw their discoveries. For children aged 6 and over.
-Temporary exhibition "At the time of the Sequans":
Discover the city of Luxovium under the Roman Empire through written sources and archaeological remains. The exhibition takes place in the archaeological site of the &cclesia and in the Tour des Échevins.
Self-guided tours: during opening hours of the &cclesia and the Tour des Echevins.
Guided tour: Saturday and Sunday at 10.30 am, 2.30 pm, 4.30 pm | Duration 1h30.

-In the shoes of a Sekan :
Armed with your "In the shoes of a Sequane" booklet, explore the &cclesia site and the Tour des Échevins museum to unravel the mysteries of the remains of the past. Go to the Tour des Échevins to discover the solutions and take part in the free mini-workshops on the theme of the exhibition.

Come and visit this site unearthed by archaeologists on the Place de la République and discover the exceptional evidence of Luxeuil's history. You'll be amazed by one of the largest archaeological sites to be uncovered in France!
Free admission: Saturday 9.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm (last admission 45 minutes before closing time).
Guided tour: Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm
-Once upon a time, the church of Saint-Martin
Storytelling: long buried under the Place de la République, the church of Saint-Martin wakes up at nightfall and tells its story.
Saturday and Sunday at 7.30pm.

Admission to the &cclesia is €4, of which €3 goes to the Fondation du patrimoine.
