The Parc de la Cude is a garden in Mailleroncourt-Charette, covering 5 hectares and featuring almost 2,000 trees and shrubs and over 350 different species.
Managed by François, an experienced gardener, his wife Chantal and the Friends of La Cude association, the park is an enchanting place to spend time with the family!
Guided tours, barefoot paths, themed areas... discover not only a magnificent garden, but also the heritage of 3 generations of a family of enthusiasts!
The Jardin de la Cude is first and foremost a family affair!
The park has had many lives since the 1700s: quarry, orchard, then Douglas fir plantation.
The adventure really began in 1900 when François' grandfather planted a cypress tree to celebrate the birth of his first daughter. Without realising it, he was responsible for creating the first tree in the Parc de la Cude.
Many years later, François, a passionate gardener, began transforming the park. Today, almost 2,000 trees and shrubs from every continent can be seen in the 5-hectare park.
Visit the Parc de la Cude!
We recommend a guided tour! François knows how to adapt to your profile and your desires, for a visit that can last from 2 hours to more than 4 hours for the most passionate! During this walk with him, your senses will be engaged: smell, look, touch, taste and let yourself be surprised by the nature that surrounds you!

La Cude stimulates your senses!
The advantage of the park is the variety of landscapes, from one atmosphere to another: the forest, the glade, the orchard and, our favourite spot, the Hydrangea Alley! What's the best time to visit the park? There isn't really a definite one, as the plants don't all flower at the same time, so the park changes from one week to the next!
The shady Parc de la Cude is a haven of peace and an ideal place for children, thanks in particular to its barefoot path. For the duration of the trail, you can leave your shoes behind to enjoy the sensations and reconnect with nature. For 800 metres, the fauna and flora of the environment around us are revealed to us, we tread on different materials, and we even cuddle... the trees!
