Louis Ville's music has all the colours of the world, from the far reaches of the Orient to the Balkans, from popular French chanson to Cajun blues. Louis, who describes himself as a craftsman rather than an artist, paints landscapes of melancholy beauty in which he takes us into phantasmagorical worlds, peopled with love. Over the years, his exceptional charisma has captivated an ever-growing audience, transporting them with humour into his sensitive world.
In 2000, Louis Ville decided to embark on a solo career, and his first album, Hôtel pourri, was released. It was received with rave reviews by the critics. The song "Hôtel pourri", which bears the same name as the album, will stay with his fans forever.
In 2005, he was awarded the Grand Prix d'interprétation by the Centre de la Chanson, confirming the recognition of his talent. While working on Princesse Erika's new album, Louis Ville took a short break in Haute-Saône. He will be giving a concert with his new project, Flower of Invention, accompanied by Jean-Nicolas Matthieu and Benjamin Cahen.
